TodoBar is a to-do list that lives in your menu bar. The entire app is a popover: click the icon, see your tasks, click away and it disappears. No Dock icon, no window to manage.

Features

Global hotkey capture — Press Control-Option-Command-T from any app and a small panel floats up in the center of your screen. Type a task, press Return, and you are back to what you were doing. The hotkey is configurable from Settings.

Natural-language due dates — Type dates as part of the sentence. “Call dentist tomorrow at 2pm” or “File taxes by April 15” both work. You never touch a calendar widget.

iCloud sync — Your tasks sync privately across all your Macs via iCloud. No TodoBar account, no third-party server.

Local notifications — TodoBar reminds you when a task is due without a subscription or any network connection.

Stats and achievements — A statistics panel tracks your completions by day and week. Tad, a small frog mascot, quietly cheers you on and hands out achievements as you complete tasks.

Export — Export your full task list as Markdown or JSON at any time from the menu.

Free tier includes up to 10 active tasks with every feature: the global hotkey, natural-language dates, iCloud sync, stats, and export. A one-time $9.99 purchase removes the limit permanently.
