Apple Rejected Enormo Twice

Update, July 8, 2026: Enormo is now live. It cleared review and is on the Mac App Store. The original post, written while it was still stuck in Apple’s queue, follows.

Every Tuesday I ship something. This week the app is done, the screenshots are done, the website is live, and it is still not in your hands. It is called Enormo, and it has been rejected by Apple twice.

What Enormo does

Enormo is a native Mac app that upscales photos with AI, entirely on-device using Apple’s MLX framework on Apple Silicon. No uploads, no accounts, no subscription. Drop in a photo, upscale it up to 4x, and export. Faces, fine texture, and architectural detail get real reconstruction instead of a blurry stretch.

Two rejections

I submitted it, and it came back rejected. I made the requested changes, resubmitted, and it came back rejected again. I have made another round of changes and resubmitted, and it is sitting in Apple’s review queue right now as I write this. I do not know when it will clear, and I have no way to speed that up.

This is the part of shipping on the App Store that does not show up in a changelog. The app has been done for a while. Getting it approved has taken longer than building it.

What is next

If it clears review, Enormo goes live at $19.99 for the first stretch (regular price is $49.99, one time, no subscription), through the end of July. You can see it and read more at Enormo.app right now, and I will update this post and post a proper launch announcement the moment it is approved.

The Tuesday streak continues either way. If Enormo does not clear by next week, something else ships instead.
