Four New Sticker Packs Are Live

Every Tuesday I ship something. This week it is four sticker packs, a round of bug fixes, and a localization update.

The packs: Skateboard Cats 1980s, Sleepy Frogs, Croissant Knights, and Vintage Cats Gardening. All made with StickerForge, all live on the App Store today.

Skateboard Cats 1980s

Thirty-eight clay-style cats in full 1980s skate gear. Neon colors, checkered boards, star-shaped sunglasses, purple headbands. Each cat has its own look: orange tabby in a green tank top, tortoiseshell in a yellow zip-up hoodie, dark cat in a plaid flannel and beanie. The vibe is the golden age of street skating filtered through a Saturday morning cartoon.

Sleepy Frogs

Forty-one frogs in various states of not being awake. Green frog yawning in striped pyjamas under a wooden headboard. Blue frog napping on a mushroom. Green frog barely conscious in an armchair, holding a steaming mug at a dangerous angle. Spotted frog tucked into a wool boot like it is the most natural thing in the world.

The pack is for anyone who communicates primarily through the medium of “I am tired.”

Croissant Knights

Twenty-eight small clay knights whose entire civilization is built around the croissant. One carries a banner with a croissant emblem. One jousts with a giant twisted croissant as a lance. One has fashioned a bow out of a croissant and appears to be winning. One has given up on the pastry theme and is just carrying a basket of eggs, which I respect.

The pack is completely absurd and I had a great time making it.

Vintage Cats Gardening

Thirty-two cats in a cottage-core gardening aesthetic. Floral aprons, straw hats, garden trowels. Tabby cat with tools in the apron pocket. Tuxedo cat leaning on a hoe like it owns the place. A fluffy white Persian sitting under a rose-print parasol next to a rose bush, doing very little actual gardening. And one cat who has been repurposed as a scarecrow, which seems like a conflict of interest.

Updates this week

Dos Palabras got a round of bug fixes. Nothing dramatic, just a handful of edge cases that had been sitting on the list since launch. The word-learning experience is the same. It just breaks less.

Just Habits now ships with Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese localizations. The app was always available in those markets, but every string was in English. That is fixed now. Both translations cover the full interface: all screens, widgets, and notifications.

How to use the sticker packs

All four are standalone iMessage apps. Install from the App Store, then in Messages tap the apps icon and pick the pack from the sticker drawer. Tap to send, drag to layer onto another message, or peel-and-stick to a photo.

iOS 17 or later. Works on iPhone and iPad.

What’s next

I am going to keep making sticker packs. The StickerForge pipeline is fast enough now that themed packs are more like “short project” than “long project,” which means I can follow more specific ideas. The two I am thinking about: rainy day cats and cafe frogs.

If you want to make your own pack, StickerForge is the same tool I used for all of these.
