Just Habits Is Live
Just Habits is now on the App Store. It is a habit tracker that does not care about your streaks.
That might sound like a strange selling point, but streaks are the thing that makes most habit apps eventually backfire. You miss one day, your streak breaks, and suddenly the app that was supposed to help you is making you feel like a failure. I wanted something that shows you what you actually did without punishing you for being human.
How it works
You add habits, set a schedule, and check them off each day. The app shows you a 16-week rolling grid, similar to a GitHub contribution chart, so you can see your real history at a glance. There is no streak counter and no score. Just the data.
Widgets let you check off habits directly from your home screen or lock screen without opening the app. Reminders are smart too: they only fire on days the habit is actually scheduled, so you never get a notification for something you were not supposed to do that day.
Everything syncs across your devices via iCloud. No account required.
Why I built it
I have abandoned a lot of habit trackers. The ones I kept coming back to all had the same problem: they were built around streaks and gamification, and that framing turned a simple daily practice into something I felt guilty about. When I missed a day, the app made it worse.
The other problem was pricing. Habit tracking is a solved problem. You do not need a subscription for it.
Just Habits is $4.99, one time. You can try it free with up to three habits, no time limit.
