Red Pandas and Librarian Ghosts Are Live

Every Tuesday I ship something. This week is two new iMessage sticker packs and a round of updates to three apps that have been on the list for a while.

The packs: Red Pandas - Summer Solstice and Cute Librarian Ghosts. Both made with StickerForge, both live on the App Store today.

Red Pandas - Summer Solstice

Forty clay-style red pandas celebrating the longest day of the year. The pack leans into the summer side of the solstice: sunflowers, watermelon slices, paper lanterns, woven sun hats. The red pandas are the through line. Everything else is the warmest week of June.

Cute Librarian Ghosts

Twenty-four small ghosts who have found their calling: cataloging. They wear tiny round glasses, push reshelving carts, balance towers of books, and shush you across the reading room. The pack is for anyone who has ever felt strongly about the Dewey Decimal System.

Updates this week

SongSplit AI 1.2 ships with new localizations and a quality pass on the separation pipeline. The vocal and instrumental tracks are noticeably cleaner on dense mixes, and the app is now available in more languages out of the box.

Ejecta is now a free download. The same release also adds localizations, accessibility improvements, and better Time Machine support so the drive-in-use detection plays nicely with backup volumes. If you have been waiting to try it, this is the week.

TypeSnap 1.1.0 is a maintenance release: bug fixes and performance improvements. Snippet expansion is a little snappier, and a handful of edge cases that had been on the list since launch are now resolved.

How to use the sticker packs

Both packs are standalone iMessage apps. Install from the App Store, then in Messages tap the apps icon and pick the pack from the sticker drawer. Tap to send, drag to layer onto another message, or peel-and-stick to a photo.

iOS 17 or later. Works on iPhone and iPad.

What’s next

More packs, more updates. If you want a specific sticker theme, tell me and I will probably make it. If you want to make your own pack, StickerForge is the same tool I used for these.
