StickerForge Is Live
Every Tuesday I ship something. This week it is StickerForge, a free AI sticker maker that runs in your browser.
The problem is that making a custom sticker used to require design software, a tablet, and a few hours. Or you paid someone. Or you settled for whatever came with the app. If you wanted a clay-style cartoon version of your dog for iMessage, there was no quick way to get it.
StickerForge changes that. You type a description, and it generates four unique clay-style stickers in seconds.
What is in the app
Clay-style AI generation: Type any prompt and get four sticker variations. Characters, animals, objects, scenes. The clay aesthetic has rounded shapes, soft pastel-adjacent colors, and a puffed-up texture. It is a popular look for stickers because it reads well at small sizes and works on any background.
Works everywhere: StickerForge is a browser app, so there is nothing to install. It works on iPhone, Android, Mac, and PC. Sign in with Google or Apple and your sticker library follows you across devices.
Sticker packs: Browse pre-made packs for quick inspiration. Current packs include Lofi Bears and Sleepy Red Pandas, with more coming.
iMessage, WhatsApp, Discord: Save any sticker to your Photos library and add it to iMessage on iOS 17 or later. For WhatsApp, import it into a custom sticker pack. For Discord, upload it as a custom emoji or drop it into a conversation.
Why I built it
I kept running into the same friction: I wanted a specific sticker for a specific message, and nothing in any app matched what I had in mind. The custom sticker options either required Procreate-level skills or produced something that looked generic.
Clay-style stickers are different because the aesthetic is forgiving. The same style works whether the subject is a dragon or a cup of coffee, so you can describe almost anything and get something that looks intentional rather than like a failed AI experiment.
The browser-first approach was a deliberate choice. A sticker maker does not need to be a native app download. If you can open a URL, you can make stickers.
